Rolando is the Coalition Engagement Associate. He works on the coalition engagement team and leads the member and partner onboarding, engagement and local-level impact work in order to support and advance AFC’s mission.

Prior to joining AFC, Rolando served as a Research Associate for the U.S. Department of the Interior’s National Park Service team, where he developed prospective low-impact development projects for the Green Infrastructure initiative. Rolando also worked as a Sustainable Development Intern for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) in Amman, Jordan, where he provided environmental health research and development strategies for Syrian and Palestinian refugees and internally displaced peoples.

Rolando holds a masters of science degree in environmental management from University of Chicago and a bachelor of arts degree in international relations from American University.
