Julieta is the Senior State Program Operations Associate at the American Flood Coalition, where she orchestrates and streamlines the organization’s state-level work, including initiatives in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Prior to joining AFC, Julieta worked in nonprofit organizations to further conversations and action around the United States. Her accomplishments include launching programs for youth and adults to learn about and engage with their local ecosystem and civic process, leading research collaborations on the efficacy of stream restoration to manage flooding and water quality, and achieving legislative reform in stormwater management, land use, and infrastructure investment.
Julieta holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from Florida International University.
