Julie Seger is the Government Relations & Policy Director at the American Flood Coalition, where she shapes outreach to elected officials and develops policy to protect communities vulnerable to flooding and sea level rise.
Julie brings nearly a decade of legislative, policy, and communications experience. Most recently, she served as the Senior Manager in Government Relations at the National Park Foundation (NPF). In this capacity, Julie shepherded the enactment of major conservation legislation, including the 2020 Great American Outdoors Act and the 2016 National Park Service Centennial Act. She helped secure millions of dollars in federal funding for national park projects and programs, while building a diverse coalition of park and public land champions in Congress.
Prior to her time with NPF, Julie served as Senior Account Executive at Susan Davis International and as Public Affairs Manager at The Hastings Group. In both roles, she led advocacy campaigns and executed strategic engagement on behalf of trade associations, corporations, nonprofits, and federal agencies.
A native of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Julie holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont.
