Brian McWalters is a Technical Associate Director at the American Flood Coalition, where he contributes to the development of state-level resilience policies and programs.
Brian previously worked for Hagerty Consulting, helping state and local governments bolster resilience to flooding and other natural hazards through mitigation planning and projects. He also worked for Vermont Emergency Management, administering hazard mitigation funding for the state and serving in the State Emergency Operations Center during flooding and other disasters. Brian has published research in the Georgetown Environmental Law Review on federal flood resilience policy.
Brian has a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a juris doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
