Janhavi Apte

Development Associate

Janhavi Apte is a development associate at the American Flood Coalition, where she supports donor engagement, strategic partnerships, and development operations. She brings experience in grants management, donor communications, and cross-functional coordination from roles across global nonprofit organizations.

Before joining AFC, Janhavi worked with the International Rescue Committee in Kenya and Save the Children International in Syria, based in Jordan, where she supported program coordination and prepared donor-facing deliverables for complex, multisector portfolios. Earlier in her career, she contributed to research and advocacy efforts focused on humanitarian access in emergency contexts, protection of civilians under U.N. peacekeeping mandates, and the impacts of sanctions on humanitarian action, alongside editorial work on global affairs.

Janhavi holds a master’s degree in international affairs from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.
