Representative Tom Suozzi represents New York’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

A native New Yorker, Mr. Suozzi was born and raised in Glen Cove in Nassau County. He is a graduate of Boston College and the Fordham University School of Law.

Spanning northeastern Queens and the North Shore of Long Island, New York’s 3rd Congressional district faces considerable flood risk from higher sea levels and increasingly extreme rainfall. The region saw significant impacts from Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

Throughout his time in Congress, Rep. Suozzi has prioritized investments in flood resilient infrastructure to better protect communities from extreme storms and flooding, while fostering more resilient recoveries from these events.
