Tim Hall

A native of Walhalla, Mayor Tim Hall has been in office since January 2024. During his time in office, he has  promoted a ‘back-to-basics” approach to moving. Walhalla forward that emphasizes fiscal responsibility,  infrastructure improvements, smart growth strategies that maintain the character of Walhalla, and transparency.

Prior to his election, Tim served his country for over 23 years as a Foreign Service Officer defending the United States’ political and economic interests around the globe. Tim has also served his community as a member of the Oconee County Council and a member of the Walhalla City Council. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, he also worked in banking. He is a member of the First Baptist Church in Walhalla.

Tim holds master’s degrees from the National Defense University and the University of South Carolina, a graduate degree from the Stonier School of Banking, and an undergraduate degree from Clemson University. Tim and his wife Gladys have three children.
