Sandie Grimes has been a resident of Oldsmar for over 25 years. During that time, she has been very involved in the Oldsmar community. She served on the City’s Code Enforcement Board, Firefighter’s Pension Board of Trustees, as chairperson for its 2021 Charter Review Committee, and as co-chairperson for its 2020 Economic Recovery Task Force. In 2020, Sandie was honored to be named Oldsmar’s “Citizen of the Year.” She is the past Chairman of the Board and current Board Member of the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, past Chairman and Board Member of HCA Town & Country Community Hospital, and past President of the Pinellas Association of Insurance Agents. She is also a Graduate of Leadership Pinellas/Class of 2009. Sandie is currently Managing Director for a local insurance company, providing over 30 years of experience in property, casualty, life, and health insurance. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Eckerd College. When not working or volunteering, she loves attending Tampa Bay Lightning games – she and her husband, Steve, are huge fans and season ticket holders.
