Senator Rex Rice represents the citizens of Pickens County in the upstate of South Carolina’s 2nd district State Senate seat. He is a member of several critically important committees, including Transportation, Education, Commerce, and Judiciary. He has represented his district since 2016 and prior to that, he served as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1994 to 2010. Senator Rice also served as Chair of the Pickens County Public Services Commission. He attended both Anderson College and University of South Carolina. Senator Rice has two children and resides in Easley with his wife.
