Natalie Teuchert

Deputy Mayor of Oviedo, FL

Deputy Mayor Natalie Teuchert has called Oviedo home for over 20 years, and has served her community on the City Council since her election in November 2021. She was elected Deputy Mayor by her fellow council members in 2024 — a recognition of the trust and respect she has earned through her technical expertise, collaborative approach, and genuine commitment to Oviedo’s residents.
A graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Teuchert spent a decade working in the combined cycle power industry before turning her full attention to public service and community life in the city she loves. Her engineering background gives her a distinctive analytical lens on the infrastructure, stormwater, and resilience challenges that shape daily life in Oviedo — a fast-growing community in eastern Seminole County northeast of Orlando.
Among her notable accomplishments on the council, Teuchert successfully pitched and secured funding to launch stormwater basin studies on the city’s aging stormwater systems — a proactive step that positions Oviedo for future grant opportunities and a more resilient approach to flood management. She also worked to secure funding for road improvements and expanded park amenities in her district.
Teuchert values the diversity of her community and works hard to ensure all Oviedo residents feel represented. She resides in the Alafaya Woods neighborhood with her husband Benjamin and their two sons, Henry and Theodore.
