A native Midlander, Mayor Lori Blong delivers results to move Midland forward. A wife, mother, local small business owner, and former teacher, Lori’s passion for Midland shines bright. She had previously served on City Council prior to becoming Mayor, and now works to create a strong quality of life for Midlanders built on strong fiscal responsibility, workforce development, public safety, and customer service at City Hall. Lori’s passion for Midland includes ensuring that every Midland family can grow and prosper. Her service to the community does not stop at as Mayor, Lori also serves as the liaison for the Midland EDC, member of Congressman Pfluger’s Energy Task Force, and a Permian Basin Petroleum Association (PBPA) Board Member.
