Leonidas “Leon” E. Stavrinakis is a State Representative for South Carolina’s 119th District and the owner of Stavrinakis Law Firm.
After joining the local prosecutor’s office, Stavrinakis earned a reputation as an honest, fair prosecutor and a tough, top notch trial lawyer. From there, he went on to found the Stavrinakis Law Firm and since then he has effectively represented clients in State and Federal Courts for over two decades.
In 1998, Stavrinakis was elected to Charleston County Council, serving as chairman from 2004 to 2006. In 2006 he was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives where he has served on the Judiciary, Ethics, and Ways and Means Committees. Leon has been voted “Best Local Legislator” numerous times in the Charleston City Paper’s “Best Of Charleston” edition, most recently in 2016 and 2017.
Stavrinakis received his B.A. from the College of Charleston and obtained his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
