LDSI

Engineering Consulting Firm

LDSI is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with a twenty-year history of providing surveying and engineering services across Southeastern United States with its two offices based in the state of North Carolina.

Originally formed by a two-man surveying operation, their work was focused on engineering design surveys and photogrammetric control. Today, LDSI not only covers all facets of modern surveying but also water resource engineering, which creates innovative stormwater solutions through quantity reduction, stream and wetland restoration, drainage infrastructure capacity improvements as well as best management practices (BMPs) to attenuate flooding and improve water quality.

LDSI offers surveying and stormwater engineering services to municipalities to assist with current projects and future growth. At a federal level, LDSI has partnered with Federal organizations such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture to implement projects like engineering and surveying for large-scale wetland and stream easements as well as natural disaster response. The surveying team is composed of experts in data collection, utility location and excavation, inventory, and GIS. The engineering team works with municipalities to analyze deficiencies within their drainage systems and determine multiple alternative solutions to best meet their needs.

Whether it be through data acquisition, analysis, planning, design, or implementation, LDSI’s specialization in nature-based solutions for resiliency is what makes them great partners not only for local and federal organizations but also within the private and public sectors.
