Kind Designs is a Miami-based climate tech company. It recently closed its Seed Round and started operations in July 2023. Kind uses 3D Printing technology to produce living seawall panels that meet existing building code while also functioning like a marine habitat, sequestering carbon and collecting data. The living seawalls are made from non-toxic concrete. There is no green premium, Kind living seawalls are the same price as traditional concrete slabs. All the environment benefits are free for the communities. Kind sells the living seawall panels to local coastal construction companies, who install and permit the seawall projects. Kind can print the panels to-order, as it only takes their robots one hour to produce a 10′ foot panel.
