Jenny Honeycutt has served as Vice Chair of Charleston County Council since November 2018, focusing her efforts on key community priorities like Safe Roads, Smart Growth, and Sound Leadership. Her commitment to these goals is evident through her leadership roles on several council committees, including Finance, Planning/Public Works, and Public Safety, where she serves as Chair.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Juris Doctorate and Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies & Communication, Jenny has been a licensed attorney in South Carolina since 2005. She co-manages Costa Honeycutt, LLC and actively participates in professional organizations like the Charleston County Bar Association and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Jenny is deeply engaged in community service through organizations such as the Junior League of Charleston and the Exchange Club of James Island. She also prioritizes her role at James Island Christian Church and enjoys spending leisure time with her husband, Trey, and their three children: Rhame, Tanner, and Adleigh. Her hobbies include fishing, surfing, and sporting clays. As Vice Chair, Jenny Honeycutt continues to champion initiatives aimed at enhancing public safety, promoting sustainable growth, and providing effective governance for Charleston County. Her blend of legal expertise, community involvement, and proactive leadership exemplifies her dedication to serving the residents and advancing the county’s interests.
