Mayor Jason Leslie brings a lifelong commitment to service and a family legacy of civic engagement spanning five generations. Inspired early on by relatives who served in local, state, and federal government, he built his career on entrepreneurship, community involvement, and a passion for strengthening neighborhoods. Jason launched his first business at just 13 years old and went on to build a successful career in the automotive industry, earning recognition as one of the top 100 Mac Tools distributors worldwide—the youngest distributor in company history to do so. He later expanded his entrepreneurial portfolio through consulting with a Fortune 500 company, operating a Snap-on Tools franchise, and co-owning a real estate venture that revitalized distressed commercial and residential properties.
Today, Jason owns commercial real estate and an e-commerce business, while also providing consultative services for new business start-ups and real estate professionals. Deeply rooted in public service, Jason has served as an auxiliary police officer, volunteer firefighter, and active leader in his community. His current service includes roles with the Ormond Beach American Legion, the County Advisory Board for Business Incubation, the Volusia County Schools Audit Committee, the First Step Homeless Shelter Board, and as a precinct committeeman. A strong supporter of local initiatives, he also proudly backs the Daytona Beach Broncos semi-professional football team. In 2025, he was recognized with the Florida League of Cities Home Rule Hero Award for his advocacy on behalf of municipalities. Outside of his official duties, Jason is a car and motorcycle enthusiast, traveler, reader, and writer with a deep love of American history. He also enjoys fishing, spending time with his family, and caring for his two dogs.
