The Hudson Valley Flood Resilience Network (HVFRN) is a collaborative hub that helps local governments across the Hudson River estuary watershed manage today’s flooding and prepare for tomorrow’s risks. The Network’s mission is to connect local governments committed to taking actionable steps to manage current and future flood risks. Through peer learning, coordinated regional action, and clear pathways to funding, training, and technical support, HVFRN accelerates practical adaptation, whether communities are just getting started or scaling up ongoing efforts.
The Network centers municipal needs through a shared-leadership model, guided by an Advisory Committee of member communities and regional partners. Operations are co-facilitated by New York Sea Grant and the Hudson River Watershed Alliance. Born from post-Irene, Lee, and Sandy planning efforts, HVFRN provides a unified voice on barriers and solutions, connects governments with trusted expertise, and turns resilience plans into action.
