Henry County

Henry County sits on the south side of the Atlanta metro, centered along I-75 with close access to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The county seat is McDonough and other cities include Stockbridge, Hampton, and Locust Grove. Known for historic squares, diverse neighborhoods, and a mix of logistics, retail, and light manufacturing, Henry County also hosts regional attractions such as Atlanta Motor Speedway. The county and its municipalities maintain parks, shared public services, and coordinated planning. To address intense rain events, Henry County and American Flood Coalition will continue working together on advances to stormwater maintenance and right-sized drainage projects that reduce street flooding and keep first-responder routes open.
