Grover C. Robinson, IV

Grover C. Robinson, IV is a seventh generation Pensacolian. Graduating Summa cum Laude from Birmingham Southern College in 1992, Mayor Robinson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and pursued private sector careers in banking and real estate.

Prior to taking office, Mayor Robinson served as Escambia County Commissioner from 2006-2018, including two stints as Chairman.

Former Mayor Robinson has won awards for his community involvement and service including the Joe Oldmixon Service Award from the Center of Independent Living and the Presidential Advocate Award from Leadership Pensacola.  He has served in several statewide capacities including the President of the Florida Association of Counties and the Chairman of the Florida Gulf Consortium.

Former Mayor Robinson is actively involved with a large variety of community organizations such as the Baptist Healthcare Foundation and Pensacola State College Foundation Boards. He is married to Jill Robinson and has two adult children, Grover V and Anna Lowrey. He and his family are active parishioners at the Christ Episcopal Church.
