Greater Houston Partnership

Civic Organization

The Greater Houston Partnership works to make Houston one of the best places to live, work and build a business. As the region’s primary economic development organization and largest chamber of commerce, the Partnership accelerates growth across 12 counties by bringing together business and civic-minded leaders who are dedicated to the area’s long-term success. Representing more than 900 member organizations and approximately one-fifth of the region’s workforce, the Partnership is the place companies come together to make an impact.

Since its founding in 1840, the Partnership and its predecessor organizations have served as a gathering place and contributor to Houston’s long-term growth by promoting economic development and trade all around the world; advocating for sound public policy at the local, state, and federal levels; convening the region on key issues impacting the greater Houston community; and engaging our members to create meaningful impact and business opportunity.
