Golden Beach

Miami-Dade County, Florida

Golden Beach, Florida is a 1.8 square mile oceanfront community nestled on the coast of Miami-Dade County. Golden Beach prides itself on maintaining its strong community since its incorporation in 1929 and is home to a population of about 1,000 residents.

Within close proximity of the urban centers of Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Golden Beach is able to reserve its acreage for the charms of South Florida small-town life with over a mile of private beach.

Some areas of the Town have been designated as Special Flood Hazard Areas by FEMA and the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The Town Manager and Town Council prioritize communication and keep Golden Beach residents up to date with relevant information about protecting their homes from potential flooding. Golden Beach takes its flood risk very seriously, recently enacting an emergency ordinance to strengthen development compliance with NFIP guidelines and Town-mandated flooding regulations.
