Dept. is a landscape architecture and urban design studio based in Houston, TX. Licensed in architecture and landscape architecture, their expertise lies in designing for and responding to complex social and ecological systems. From the small pocket park to the vision plan, they design at all scales of the built and natural environments and engage a wide variety of stakeholders from municipalities to residents. Recently, their work has focused on adaptation in flood-prone urban areas including Harris County, Miami-Dade County, Norfolk, VA; and the Outer Banks, NC. They collaborate regularly with engineers, planners, policymakers, and contractors to deliver our projects and are well-versed in the interdisciplinary nature of working in the field of climate adaptation.
