Elected in March 2022, Dan Saracki is currently serving his first term as Oldsmar Mayor. Dan previously served on Oldsmar Council Seat 2 from January 2015-March 2022.
His community service began in 2009 when he was elected President of his Homeowners Association and he continues to serve in that leadership role. As an active resident, he served on the East Lake Oaks Community Development District Board, Chair of the Leisure Services Advisory Board, Oldsmar Cares Board of Directors, and is a graduate of Oldsmar Citizens Academy Class of 2011. He is a lifetime member of the Oldsmar Historical Society, currently serving as Treasurer.
Dan is honored to be a graduate of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Academy, Class of 2015 and Leadership Pinellas, Class of 2017. As a Council Member, he served on the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council (TBRPC) from 2016-2021. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) as 1 st Vice President, Finance Committee Member, and Chair of the Legislative Committee. Dan recently attended FLC University Training Center, Florida Redevelopment Association, CRA 101 and Planning Strategically for Redevelopment. In June of 2022, Dan was unanimously appointed by the Pinellas County Board of Commissioners to serve on the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Advisory Council for a two-year term. In 2022 Dan was voted by other Mayors to join the Florida League of Mayors and fill the At-Large open seat.
Dan is a graduate of the Institute for Elected Municipal Officials (IEMO), classes I through IV. He served as President of the Suncoast League of Cities in 2020. He is active with the Florida League of Cities (FLC), serving on the Legislative Advocacy Committee and Resolutions Committee. He served on the FLC Board as a District Director and Chair of the Municipal Administration Policy Committee. Dan is a member of the Utilities, Natural Resources & Public works since 2021. He has been named a FLC Home Rule Hero Award Recipient consecutively since 2018. On August of 2023, Dan received the Gold Certificate of Excellence from the Florida League of Cities University.
His wife Paula is President of Impact Grafx, Inc. since 1999. Her company was named Small Business of the Year in 2012 by the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce. Paula’s company has been awarded the Marketing/Media Excellence Award twice by Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).
Dan was involved in the Oldsmar Top of the Bay Toastmaster Club and served as President and VP of Membership, under which he earned the Triple Crown Award for membership growth.
Dan enjoys spending his spare time playing hockey at the Boltsmar Hockey rink, bike riding on Oldsmar’s many trails with his wife Paula and camping with his children and grandchildren.
