Mayor Craig Brown is the mayor for the City of Galveston and was elected in 2022 and 2020. Prior to taking on this role as Mayor, he was first elected to City Council in 2014.
Mayor Brown has served as a leader in numerous commissions and partnerships. Mayor Brown has served as Chairman of the Planning Commission for four years then held a position on the Landmark Commission, serving as President of the Historic Downtown Strand and Seaport Partnership for 2 years. Brown also worked as the Vice Chairman Served of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) for 2 years and prior to that, he served as Chairman of the Park Board for 5 years. Mayor Brown is also a retired Pediatric Dentist and professor.
Mayor Brown has been a resident of the City of Galveston since 1997, living with his wife Angela and their two children.
