Mayor Chris Hoffman was elected Mayor of Jacksonville Beach on November 3, 2020. She had previously served as a two-term city councilwoman.
Chris graduated from Fletcher High School, received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida and her MBA from the University of North Florida. She is active in Oceanside Rotary, a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville, vice president of the board of Baptist Medical Center-Beaches and was honored by the Rhoda L. Martin Cultural Heritage Center’s 2019 Woman Trailblazer Award in honor of Margaret McQueen. In addition to her role as mayor, Chris is the Executive Director of the Beaches Museum in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Chris is the first woman to serve as mayor of Jacksonville Beach.
