Brenden Jones

State Representative, North Carolina-46th District

Brenden Jones, elected to the legislature in 2016, serves District 46 in the North Carolina House of Representatives, Columbus and Robeson Counties. Rep. Jones and his wife Angela live in Tabor City with their two daughters, where they have owned and operated small businesses for over 20 years. 

After high school, he attained a degree in Mortuary Science and became the youngest licensed funeral director in North Carolina. He subsequently served as general manager for a large manufactured home company and now runs the day-to-day operations of several family businesses and pre-owned auto-dealerships.

He has personally participated and assisted in Hurricanes Matthew and Florence search and rescue missions in his native Columbus County, coordinating supply deliveries and conducting evacuations by watercraft. He remains a steadfast advocate for ongoing rebuilding efforts throughout Columbus County, Robeson County, and southeastern North Carolina. 

Past and present civic and public engagements include terms as a member of the Columbus County Board of Elections (Chair), Rural Center Board of Directors, Columbus County Jobs Foundation, and the Southeastern Community College Board of Trustees. Brenden is an active member of Beaverdam Original Freewill Baptist Church.
