Anthony Bonna Sr. moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida with his family in 1990 and has been a dedicated advocate for his community ever since. A Georgetown University McDonough School of Business graduate, Anthony returned home after college and was appointed to the St. Lucie County Commission in 2018 by Florida’s governor. As a county commissioner, he chaired the Public Safety Coordinating Council and served on various regional boards. Currently, as a Port St. Lucie City Councilman, Anthony serves on the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council as Treasurer, as well as the St. Lucie County Homelessness Task Force, Opioid Task Force, and Affordable Housing Advisory Committee.
In addition to his public service, Anthony is the owner of The Good Help Group, a marketing and consulting firm. He is deeply committed to education and community service, serving as Chairman of the St. Lucie County Education Foundation, an active Rotarian, and a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. A devoted husband and father, Anthony lives with his wife Tara, their daughter Aubrey, their son Anthony Jr., and their cat Kaos. The Bonnas are expecting their third child in April 2025.
