Ana Maria Rodriguez

State Senator, Florida-39th District

Senator Ana Maria Rodriguez was successfully elected to the Florida Senate in November of 2020. Prior to her current role, she served in the Florida House of Representatives in District 105 since November of 2018. She was previously elected to the City of Doral Council in 2010 for a four year term in Seat 4, and was subsequently re-elected for a second four year term in 2014. During her last year as a Councilwoman, she had the honor of serving as Vice Mayor (2017-2018).  Born, raised and educated in Miami, she attended St. Theresa Catholic School, then went on to high school at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy. She later graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications in 1999 and graduated from The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business at Nova Southeastern University with a Master of Science in Leadership in 2009.

Ana Maria currently serves as Vice President of Government Affairs with the MIAMI Association of REALTORS®.  She has a vast background in the Public Relations and Governmental Affairs arena, is a graduate of Leadership Florida Cornerstone XXXIV, and a graduate of Leadership Miami. She is married to Dr. Clemente Canabal from Colombia, and has two children and two stepchildren.
