Alex Andrade was born in the Cayman Islands and raised primarily in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Alex’s family moved to Florida in search of economic opportunity, starting a small manufacturing company in Opa-Locka, Florida.
He earned his Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida, where he served as President of the Trial Team and Chief Justice of the UF Supreme Court. For his service to the University of Florida, Alex was inducted into the UF Hall of Fame.
In August 2013, Alex served as a Gubernatorial Fellow in Governor Scott’s administration. As a Gubernatorial Fellow, Alex won the Jeb Bush Public Policy award for his work improving Florida’s involvement with charitable organizations and non-profits.
Alex currently serves as an attorney at the Pensacola firm of Moore, Hill & Westmoreland, P.A., specializing in civil defense and business litigation and lives in Pensacola, Florida with his wife, Jessica, and dogs, Dash and Jake.
