Andrew Blank is the Chief of Staff at the American Flood Coalition, where he drives AFC’s strategic goals, facilitates organizational reflection and learning, provides cross-team project management, and supports the Executive Director on special projects. He also contributes to external engagement, including relationship building and communications.
Prior to joining AFC, Andrew managed research, evaluation, and technical assistance projects at the American Institutes for Research, spanning violence prevention, climate resilience, civic education, and capacity building for federal, municipal, and philanthropic clients. He previously worked for UNC Health and the UC San Diego Center for Community Health, and served on the Freshwater Land Trust Junior Board and Wilmington Tree Commission.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Andrew graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and served aboard USS Ohio (SSGN-726)(Blue) and USS Topeka (SSN-754). He also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Southern California.
