Leah is the Associate State Policy Director at the American Flood Coalition, where she expands state and local flood-related policies and identifies new opportunities to support Coalition members.

Prior to joining AFC, Leah worked for a maritime association, where she was responsible for local, state, and federal policy. She worked on policy that improved air and water quality and prevented environmental disasters, while also supporting industry needs. Leah previously worked with water utilities and environmental nonprofits, assisting state and local governments with sustainability and resiliency plans and working to pass laws to fund water infrastructure.

Leah holds a bachelor’s degree in energy and environmental policy from the University of Delaware and a master’s degree in environmental studies from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
