Scott Talley

Senator, South Carolina Senate-12th District

Senator Scott Talley has represented South Carolina’s 12th district since 2016. Senator Talley serves on the Agriculture and Natural Resources, Education, Family and Veterans’ Services, Fish, Game and Forestry, Judiciary and Legislative Oversight committees. Senator Talley believes his district is working to advance solutions in education reform, infrastructure improvements, tax policy and with support from the American Flood Coalition, he is also looking forward to advancing flooding solutions in his community. Moreover, Senator Talley also serves as Vice President for the Tyger River Foundation where he supports projects designed to benefit water quality or provide recreational access along the Tyger River. Senator Talley received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wofford College and later obtained a J.D. from the University of South Carolina. He is married to his wife Kelly, and they have three children.
