Catie Malone

Associate

Catie is an associate at the American Flood Coalition, where she supports research and program initiatives across the organization. She researches flooding, sea level rise, and related initiatives that support communities facing these issues.

Prior to joining AFC, Catie worked as an intern at the Environmental Protection Agency in the Office of Resource Conservation and Recovery. Previously, she worked as a research assistant at the Georgetown University Center for Global Health Science and Security, focused on mapping and analyzing COVID-19 policies. In her studies, Catie has researched the impacts of melting Arctic ice on the cultural practices of local communities in Alaska. 

Catie holds a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, and international affairs with a concentration in energy and the environment from Georgetown University.
