The American Flood Coalition is proud to have Councilman Owen Thomas as a member. Owen is currently a City Councilmember for Lumberton, North Carolina. Owen is an esteemed local leader and recognized as a rising political star in North Carolina. As well as serving the City of Lumberton he represents local governments across the state as a member of the NC League of Municipalities Board of Directors. His regional and statewide recognitions include being named Kiwanian of the year in 2015, Young Insurance Agent of The year in 2018, and was recognized by the Fayetteville Observer in their 40 under 40 list in 2020. Owen played collegiate football at UNC-Pembroke where he also received a degree in Business Administration prior to obtaining his Masters in Business Administration.
