Mark Pless is a Republican member of the North Carolina House of Representatives who has represented the 118th district since 2021. Rep. Mark Pless has been a North Carolina Paramedic since 1993 working in Haywood County as well as Greenville and Pickens County in South Carolina. Pless was a firefighter with Center Pigeon Fire Department in Haywood County for almost 30 years, being at the forefront of public service in his community. Pless is part of the Appropriations committee and serves as Vice Chair of the Federal Relations and American Indian Affairs committees. He also sits on the Homeland Security, Military and Veterans Affairs, Transportation and Wildlife Resources committees. Rep. Pless currently oversees the Haywood, Madison and Yancey counties, lives with his wife Rebecca and has two sons: Jared and Gage.
