The Cape Fear Council of Governments (CFCOG) is a regional association of local governments in southeastern North Carolina serving Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover, and Pender counties and their 40 municipalities for over 50 years. The CFCOG is designated by the State as the Lead Regional Organization for the 4-county region (Region O) and is committed to provide regional solutions that improve the quality of life for the nearly 500,000 citizens we serve.
The CFCOG serves the region by convening regional elected and appointed officials to achieve common purpose solutions; by providing planning, management, and other technical assistance and support to local governments of the region; and by administering a variety of state and federal programs and grants that benefit the citizens of the region through our four major programs: the Area Agency on Aging, the Homeless Continuum of Care, Local Government Services, and Workforce Development.
