Dr. Frederick (“Freddy”) Paige is an assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering at Virginia Tech and Assistant Director of the Virginia Center for Housing Research.
Prior to joining Virginia Tech, Freddy worked with a variety of utility companies, sustainability non-profits, and educational institutions. These experiences provided him with a versatile toolkit of knowledge and skills to address a diverse range of civil engineering issues.
Freddy’s main focus areas include social phenomena related to high-efficiency homes, sustainable communities, and environmental justice. The overarching goal of his work is to create the knowledge needed to develop an informed public that lives in a sustainable built environment.
