Kate is the Florida Director at the American Flood Coalition, where she advances policy solutions and strengthens AFC’s presence at the state and local levels in Florida. 

Kate has over two decades of experience in Florida public policy and politics. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Government Affairs for Ygrene Energy Fund. While there, she led Florida’s state and local government relations to advance resiliency and sustainability policies. Before Ygrene, Kate represented local, state, and federal elected officials and also served on many political campaigns in Florida. 

Kate holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Florida International University and studied international affairs at the University of Cambridge. She is a licensed realtor in Florida and currently serves as President of her property owners association in Jupiter, Florida.
