Many communities in North Carolina have experienced devastating inland and coastal flooding due to major storm events on numerous occasions. As a longtime advocate for helping these communities recover from major hurricanes and flooding, I am humbled to be recognized as a Federal Champion by the American Flood Coalition. I look forward to continuing to work on innovative solutions that protect Southeastern North Carolina from flood risk.
