Jared is a Senior Policy Associate at the American Flood Coalition where he works to inform AFC’s policy positioning, conducts research, and educates policymakers on behalf of AFC.
Prior to joining AFC, Jared served as the President of the North Dakota Student Association (NDSA), where he advocated for North Dakota’s 45,000 public college and university students in the state government and built coalitions to implement NDSA’s policy agenda. He was also appointed by North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum to serve two terms as a board member of the state’s Economic Development Foundation.
Jared holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and political science from North Dakota State University, where he was named a Truman Scholar in 2018 for his public service leadership. Outside of AFC, Jared is the Associate Executive Director of American Model United Nations, a nonprofit, educational organization founded in 1989 to provide students with the highest quality, most professionally run simulation of the United Nations available.
