Representative Rob Bresnahan represents the 8th district of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Born in Kingston and raised in Wyoming Borough and Hughestown, Mr. Bresnahan grew up deeply rooted in Northeastern Pennsylvania. His childhood was spent between school, hockey, golf, and helping in his family’s electrical contracting business. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Scranton in 2012.
Following college, Mr. Bresnahan took over his grandfather’s electrical contracting company, ultimately serving as CEO of Kuharchik Construction, where he expanded the business to more than 150 employees. Under his leadership, the company employed union labor and played a critical role in restoring power after natural disasters across the United States. He later founded a real estate development group focused on revitalizing buildings for small businesses and housing throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Representative Bresnahan serves on the House Committees on Agriculture, Small Business, and Transportation and Infrastructure in the 119th Congress.
Mr. Bresnahan’s commitment to his community extends beyond business. He has served as President of the Luzerne County SPCA and held board positions with the Catholic Youth Center, Junior Achievement, the National Electrical Contractors Association, the Luzerne County Industrial Development Authority, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bresnahan lives in Dallas Township with his wife, Chelsea.
