Biography

Chris Sprowls is the managing partner of Rooker Ward Partners, where he advises high-growth companies and mission-driven organizations. A former prosecutor, Chris served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2014–2022, finishing his tenure as the body’s speaker. He led the development and passage of Florida’s landmark “Always Ready” legislation, the nation’s most comprehensive state-level flood resilience and adaptation initiative, which positioned Florida as a leader in preparing communities for rising flood risks.

Throughout his career, Chris has championed major education and family initiatives and supported the development of the New Worlds Reading Initiative, which now serves more than 300,000 children, as well as the Responsible Fatherhood Initiative, which aims to strengthen families statewide. He serves as chairman of the advisory board for the University of Florida’s Lastinger Center for Learning and holds board roles with ExcelinEd Action, Flagship Bank, TECO Energy, and TECO People’s Gas.
