Paul Campbell

Former State Senator, South Carolina-44th District

Paul G. Campbell Jr. is a former State Senator for South Carolina, where he represented Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties. He is currently the Executive Director and CEO of the Charleston County Aviation Authority.

Previously, Campbell was the Southeast Regional President for Alcoa Primary Metals and prior to that Vice President of Operations for Alumax Primary Metals.

Campbell was appointed to the South Carolina Public Service Authority where he represents Berkeley County. He is currently on the Charleston Regional Development Alliance representing Berkeley County and serves on the Executive Committee. Paul is a recipient of the Order of the Palmetto.

Campbell also serves or has served in numerous business, civic, professional and government positions, including: Clemson Board of Visitors; Engineering Advisory Council at Clemson; Board of Governors for the School of Business and Economics at the College of Charleston; South Carolina Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education; Trident Technical College Foundation; Board of Regents for Leadership South Carolina; American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers and The Materials Society; South Carolina Manufactures; South Carolina Chamber of Commerce; Berkeley Chamber of Commerce; Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce; Trident United Way, the Coastal Council of Boy Scouts, and Summerville Rotary Club; First Financial Holdings and First Federal of Charleston.

Campbell received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University and obtained his M.B.A. from Jacksonville State University.
